Michalis Bousis: Bringing the Greek Cup Back to Crete

The dream of seeing OFI as the champion in the final match of the Greek Cup on May 17th at OAKA against Olympiakos was shared by the president of the Cretan team, Michalis Bousis, during an event hosted by the Pancretan Association of Attica. He emphasized their desire to bring the cup back to Crete, just like in 1987. Speaking from Chicago, where he resides, Bousis highlighted the pride many Cretans feel about their island and Greece. “When I visited Crete years ago, I fell in love with the people there for their pride and warmth,” he said. His vision extends beyond merely playing in the cup; it’s about winning and bringing the trophy home to Crete. Bousis expressed his hope to make everyone proud and achieve this goal by 2025. In line with this sentiment, the Chief Advisor of PAE, Minas Lysandrou, stated that the upcoming final might be a golden opportunity to showcase what OFI represents and the spirit of Crete and its people. During the Pancretan Association event, key figures from OFI reiterated their commitment to uniting all Cretans behind the common goal of bringing the cup back to the island.
