Metro Thessaloniki: Today the unveilings of Venizelos Station with tour Mitsotakis and Sakellaropoulou

It’s a fact. The city of the north is now moving to the rhythms of tomorrow (30.11.2024) opening of the Metro and today, at 18:00 in the afternoon, will become the unveiling of Venizelos Station. The first visitors to the metro Thessaloniki will be the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who will be guided by Culture Minister Lina Mendonis at the archaeological site and the findings of the excavations. The minister has described Venizelos Station as the best Metro Station in the world, because it combines the operation of a unique Museum with the antiquities that the excavations brought to light, between them and those temporarily removed, due to the construction of the project, and were repositioned to the same positions. A total of more than 300,000 archaeological findings came to light throughout the construction of the Metro.
