Megara: Burglars Brutally Assault 72-Year-Old Man During Home Invasion

In a shocking incident, unknown intruders broke into a home in Megara on Saturday afternoon (June 21, 2025) and severely assaulted a 72-year-old homeowner. The victim was found unconscious and bleeding inside his house by his wife, who immediately called the authorities. According to ERT, the burglars entered the residence at an unspecified time, attacked the elderly man, and stole €4,000 before fleeing the scene. The unfortunate man sustained injuries to his head, neck, and abdomen from an unidentified object. Doctors suspect that the neck injury was caused by a sharp object. The victim was rushed to the General State Hospital of Nikaia in critical condition.
