It was just 35 years ago, when on 20 November 1989 the first private broadcast, with the colorful drum-shaped fans pulsating, folding and standing robust in the center of the screen, under the sounds of the most recognizable musical television signal in television history, created by Dimitris Papadimitriou. As quoted in a TV station announcement “November 2024… 35 years later, one wonders! How many lives does a channel have? MEGA has three: The first, the one who made it an iconic channel. The one who gave him the richest, historical record on private television. A period during which he built the most extensive and famous library of content on Greek television. Today, it has 132.000 hours of classical, quality and original material in its filmbox. The second, the one found outside “air”, but “live” in people’s hearts and a third, the one that began four years ago. MEGA never zeroed the tracker. Only regrouped and continues to write history, with a multi-collective program, great partners, innovative ideas, original projects. “MEGA the good” changed the television map, won the top again and was consolidated in first place in the viewers’ conscience.
