In a significant act of corporate social responsibility, MEGA Brokers has donated 30 televisions to the Shelter for Abused Women operated by the Municipality of Athens. The televisions are already being installed in the rooms where women and their children reside, aiming to improve their living conditions and provide comfort during difficult times.

The CEO of MEGA Brokers, Mr. Tassos Hatjitheodorou, visited the City Hall of Athens, where he met with Mayor Haris Doukas, Deputy Mayor Maria Stratigaki, and other municipal officials. During the meeting, Mayor Doukas expressed his gratitude: “I warmly thank the President and CEO of MEGA Brokers, Mr. Giannis and Tassos Hatjitheodorou, for their generous donation of 30 televisions to our shelter for abused women.

This support is not only an act of corporate social responsibility but also a meaningful contribution to our ongoing efforts to protect and empower vulnerable women. The Municipality of Athens actively supports these women through impactful policies against domestic violence and discrimination. Beyond the shelter, which serves as a refuge for women who have experienced violence and their children, we also operate the Athens Center for Combating Gender-Based Violence. Additionally, we organize seminars against sexual harassment in the workplace.

Collaboration with sensitive organizations and businesses like MEGA Brokers is vital. It enhances the services we offer and strengthens our goal: a society without exclusion, violence, or fear. Together, we can continue building structures that promote dignity, safety, and hope.”

On behalf of MEGA Brokers, Mr. Tassos Hatjitheodorou stated: “Solidarity is a necessity in modern times — especially for companies committed to social responsibility. Our solidarity must be continuous and targeted, particularly toward those facing extreme situations.

MEGA Brokers stands in support of the Municipality of Athens’ efforts to protect women who are victims of severe violence. This is just the beginning. We will continue implementing our corporate social responsibility action plan. Finally, I would like to commend the Municipality of Athens and Mayor Haris Doukas for their initiatives. We will always stand beside them.”
