On Tuesday, September 10th, the meeting will take place for Crete – Cyprus with the participation of all the parties involved, according to the announcement of the Government Representative of the Republic of Cyprus, Konstantinos Letymbioti. In particular, Mr Letybiotis pointed out: “The importance of the project of the electricity interconnection between Crete and Cyprus as both strategic work and its economic dimension and the role it can play in the energy planning of our country and the EU is undeniable. Within this context, the Government approaches the whole issue with responsibility and due diligence with the sole aim of serving the interests of the Cypriot people.” On Tuesday, 10 September 2024 at 15:30, discussions will be held on the Cyprus Republic’s initiative. The meeting will be attended by the Ministers for Energy, Trade and Industry, Finance and State Secretary, despite the President of the Republic of Cyprus, the Minister of Energy on behalf of the Greek Government, representative of the European Commission, representatives of the IPTO, the NEXANS company and the Legal Service of the Republic of Cyprus.
