May Day 2025: Metro and ISAP Operations – Detailed First and Last Departures

In anticipation of the labor day on Thursday, May 1, 2025, due to workers’ participation in strike actions, Metro Lines 2 & 3 will operate from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. During this time, airport routes will run normally on May Day. By order of EL.AS, Syntagma and University stations will remain closed with trains passing through without stopping. Specifically, Lines 2 & 3 stations will open at 9:00 AM, with final departures as follows: from Anthoupoli to Elliniko at 14:42, from Elliniko to Anthoupoli at 14:37, from Dimotiko Theatre to D. Plakentias at 14:44, from D. Plakentias to Dimotiko Theatre at 14:36, from Airport to Dimotiko Theatre with the first train departing at 09:10 and the last at 13:58, from Dimotiko Theatre to Airport with the first train departing at 09:06 and the last at 13:54. Updates for Line 1 and Tram operations are pending announcements from worker unions. City buses are expected to operate all day on peripheral lines. The 24-hour nationwide strike announced by GSEE includes the Panhellenic Federation of Railway and Fixed Track Transport Workers (POS-MST), honoring fallen workers. Additionally, ships nationwide will be docked due to participation in the 24-hour nationwide strike. The strike starts at 00:01 and ends at 24:00 on Thursday.
