It is a popular cooking reality show shown in several countries of the world, as in Greece. The performance, however, has been stolen by a young player from Masterchef of Spanish television, who presented the judges with the worst dish in reality history. CORVERSE Saray Carrillo was 27 years old when she entered the Spanish version of the favorite reality show in 2020 – Spanish Masterchef premiered on the La 1 channel on 10 April 2013 – while the jury consisted of chef Pepe Rodríguez, Jordi Cruz and Samantha Vallejo-Nágera. Contestants were invited to cook prey from hunting, and in particular, partridges, to present the judges with a delicious dish. Naturally, the partridge was not “cleaned”, but had normally its beak, wings and all its internal organs. CORVERSE This meant that Saray Carrillo had to learn the bird first, before cooking it, so that it would adapt to normal high gastronomy restaurant conditions. Her other teammates had the same difficulty, but they tried their best to respond to the demanding test. It did not, however, happen for the young contestant from Cordoba, who followed a admittedly bold and self – destructive approach. So instead of presenting to the jury her dish, cooked, Saray preferred to bring them her dish with its poultry and wings, served with cherry tomatoes and onions, after being disgusted by the idea of plucking it, let alone removing the intestines. The judges, as soon as they saw the dish, remained open with their mouths, while the well-known chef Jordi Cruz became a fire and fury, saying that her move shows not only disrespect to its judges and teammates, but also to the 28,000 people who had applied to enter MasterChef’s kitchen. During the “fires” the player remained unarrayed, while, as expected, the judges asked her to take off her apron and leave the Masterchef immediately. She, however, faced her expulsion with absolute calm, while her teammates remained silent, unable to believe what they saw before them.
