MasterChef: A Tearful Departure – ‘We Must Chase Our Dreams’

The new week on MasterChef began with an emotional departure. In the episode aired on March 3, 2025, contestants battled to remain in the Star cooking competition by replicating a dish. The elimination challenge dish for Clean Monday night was created by renowned chef Fani Maikanté—a delicious loukaniko sausages recipe. Contestants Mario, Leandros, Sotiris, and Vasilis T. were tasked with recreating this recipe. While Mario and Leandros safely advanced, the journey ended for one of the remaining two contestants. Despite his confidence, Sotiris scored 24 points, but Vasilis T.’s effort was the weakest with only 20 points, leading to his elimination. Speaking to the judges, Vasilis expressed, “I couldn’t give my all, but I brought my truth. My family was what I missed most. I stayed true throughout this journey.” He added, moved, “My kids will surely be proud of their dad. The main reason I came here was for them—to show them that we must chase our dreams.”
