Massive Fire Engulfs Apartment in Kolonaki – Smoke Suffocates Building

A massive fire broke out on Monday (February 24, 2025) in an apartment building located in Kolonaki. The alarm was raised at around 6:00 PM for a fire occurring in a residential unit near the intersection of Sweden Street and Iatriou Street. Emergency responders swiftly arrived with 16 firefighters and six vehicles. Flames quickly spread, trapping some residents inside due to heavy smoke. Besides the significant firefighting operation, ambulances from EKAB also rushed to the scene, along with police forces to manage traffic. The incident concluded with emergency services successfully extinguishing the blaze.
