The movement from Piraeus, Rafina, and Lavrio ports has significantly increased today as thousands of Athenians leave the city, taking advantage of the good weather and a short getaway opportunity during the long weekend. The largest wave of departures occurred on Friday, June 6th, with 21,708 passengers departing solely from the port of Piraeus, including 10,985 heading to the islands of Argosaronic. Passengers are arriving in an organized manner at the ports of Piraeus, Rafina, and Lavrio, mainly bound for the Cyclades and Argosaronic islands. The harbor authorities have taken all necessary measures to facilitate travelers. According to shipping companies, occupancy rates on ships headed to the Cyclades are at high percentages. Today, 20 routes are scheduled from the port of Piraeus, with an expected 13,810 passengers to depart. For Argosaronic destinations, 45 routes (26 fast ferries and 19 conventional) are planned, expecting 7,267 passengers to depart (3,002 via fast ferries and 4,625 via conventional). From Rafina, 12 routes are scheduled with an expected 7,625 passengers, while from Lavrio, 9 routes are planned with 3,217 passengers anticipated to depart. On Friday, June 6th, 21,708 passengers departed from Piraeus, 10,985 for the Argosaronic islands, 10,615 from Rafina, and 5,400 from Lavrio.
