The awards will be given to young people who through the legacy of the beloved actress and the support of the Organization, have overcome the difficulties they faced and managed to study. The awards will be awarded every year in memory of Mary Chronopoulou, so that “The Smile of the Child” will honor her generous contribution to the organization. The beloved actress left life at the age of 90, after a brave battle she fought through the ICU, when she fell into her home and hit her head seriously. The announcement of the Smile of the Child “On Sunday, October 6 it was completed 1 year without the great lady of Greek cinema and theatre, Mary Chronopoulou, in everyone’s life. “The Smile of the Child”, as the chosen family and heirs of Mary Chronopoulou, on Sunday, October 13, at 11:00 a.m., will hold an annual memorial, at the Holy Temple of Agii Anargyri Paiania (Geor. Papathanasiou 4, Paania 190 02). After the completion of the memorial ceremony, a ceremony will follow at Mary Chronopoulou’s house in Paiania. During the award the award will be given to young people who, through her heritage and the support of the Agency, managed to overcome with dignity the difficulties they were invited to face and study. The “Mary Chronopoulou” Award is the award established by the Organization to honor her memory and her always practical and active support and love at the “The Smile of the Child” Organization and especially all children and young people, through the “Youth Care Mary Chronopoulou” action.
