Marianakis on OPEKEPE: We Are the First Government to Face This Problem Head-On

Government spokesperson Pavlos Marianakis faced numerous questions regarding the OPEKEPE affair during a press briefing. On the results of public opinion polls showing citizens’ concerns over the issue, Marianakis acknowledged it as a serious and long-standing problem. ‘The overwhelming majority has always considered this a serious issue. It’s at least a 30-year-old wound for the country. That’s why we need to roll up our sleeves and expedite the actions we’ve already announced and partially implemented,’ he stated.
