Maria Karystianou, representing the victims’ families in the Tempi disaster case, has filed a supplementary complaint against Special Investigating Judge Sotiris Bakaimis. The complaint focuses on 649,000 files that allegedly were not included in the official documentation of the case, as claimed by the relatives of the 57 victims. This new complaint supplements an earlier one and was submitted Friday, March 7, before the Prosecutor of Larissa’s Corruption Court. Joining Karystianou were Sotiris Mitskas, Lily Vasilisin, and Paulos Aslanidis. They accuse Judge Bakaimis and his secretary of failing to incorporate audio, video, digital data, and other evidence collected by the Criminal Research Department into the criminal records of the Tempi case. The victims’ families are demanding an investigation into why these contentious files have not been integrated into the official records. Additionally, they request a criminal probe into Bakaimis for dereliction of duty and obstruction of justice regarding his order to destroy all biological samples (blood and tissues) related to the disaster and the return or destruction of victims’ personal items. The complainants also seek access to documents not yet included in the official records and call for critical witnesses to be summoned.
