Manos Niflis and Elisavet Moutafi recently became parents after adopting a child from Africa, naming him Dimitris. The couple had previously attempted to conceive through in vitro fertilization (IVF), as revealed by the journalist. During an appearance on the show ‘Buongiorno’ on Monday, March 31, 2025, Niflis detailed their decision to adopt. He described their son as affectionate and recounted the initial challenges of his sleep patterns due to anxiety about whether they would still be there in the morning. Niflis emphasized that adoption was a life achievement for him, offering a better future to a child in need. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of regulating IVF procedures, particularly in Greece, where there is significant medical tourism for this treatment. Their first meeting with Dimitris took place at the airport, where he immediately bonded with them. Despite early concerns, Dimitris quickly adapted to his new family environment, calling both parents affectionate names within days. Interestingly, he prefers falling asleep during car rides in the evening. Niflis also shared insights into how Dimitris has adjusted emotionally, noting that children like him often suppress cries for attention due to past experiences. The couple now cherishes their expanded family, which includes two older daughters from Niflis’s previous marriage.
