Man Found Dead in Agia Paraskevi After Shooting – ‘When I Heard the Bang, I Went Outside and Saw Someone Running’

A man was found dead on Eirinis Street in Agia Paraskevi following a shooting incident that occurred at around 4:15 PM on July 4, 2025. The suspect, who reportedly wore a mask, fled on foot immediately after the attack in this quiet neighborhood. The victim, believed to be in his 40s, was reportedly shot five times, with three bullets hitting him, two in the chest. Authorities have discovered five shell casings at the scene and have launched a manhunt for the perpetrator.

An eyewitness who discovered the body stated he heard between four and five gunshots before seeing someone running up Eirinis Street. ‘When I heard the shots, I went outside and saw a man running and turning left into an alley,’ the witness told newsit.gr. ‘Then I saw another man on the ground — he was just about to pass away. His phone started ringing, and I made the mistake of picking it up. I panicked and called the police because I was afraid I might get involved,’ he added.

According to Live News reports, authorities already have access to surveillance footage from the area that may help identify the suspect.
