An elderly man had hidden gold pounds inside his red electric vacuum cleaner and sent it for repairs without remembering the treasure inside. When the technician opened the device to fix it, he was astonished to find the hidden stash of gold pounds carefully placed inside a compartment under the dust bag. “As soon as he started the first repair, he found a large number of gold pounds,” the technician told Live News during an evening broadcast on June 3, 2025. The gold coins were meticulously stored in a hidden space within the vacuum cleaner that would have been nearly impossible for anyone else to discover. The owner of the electrical appliance repair shop explained, “It’s an electric vacuum cleaner with a hollow space under the bag—nothing can go in or out, and no one would think to open it unless they were repairing it.” In total, the technician extracted eight gold pounds from the vacuum cleaner. With each pound valued at €690 today, the vacuum had become a small treasure chest holding €5,520. The repair shop owner immediately closed the vacuum as it was, contacted the rightful owner, informed him about the discovery, and returned the items.
