Man Attacks Two Police Officers with a Knife Inside Koropi Police Station

An unbelievable incident occurred on Sunday morning (3/30/25) in Koropi, where a man attacked two police officers inside the local police station and injured them. According to initial reports, the incident began when the 51-year-old man, who has previously been involved in theft and assault cases, attacked an unfamiliar person with a knife inside a city bus in Koropi, injuring them. The 51-year-old was arrested by police and brought to the Koropi police station. There, using the same knife, he attacked the station chief, injuring him on the head. Subsequently, he also assaulted the duty officer, striking him on the foot. During that time, members of DIAS arrived at the police station, and the attacker barricaded himself inside. Reports indicate that he also injured another person, a woman. Eventually, members of OPKE shot the 51-year-old in the leg and managed to apprehend him.
