Man Arrested in Peristeri with Loaded Pistol and Ammunition at Entertainment Venue

A man was arrested today (April 27, 2025) at an entertainment venue in Peristeri, found in possession of a loaded pistol and ammunition. According to ELAS (Greek Police), the suspect was detained by the Division for Pursuit of Crimes Against Life and Property of the Organized Crime Combatting Directorate during a nighttime raid. He is charged with violating gun laws after police discovered the pistol along with 14 rounds of ammunition in his possession. Special operations were conducted by anti-extortion units targeting illegal activities endangering public safety in Attica. The accused, who carried the firearm inside a bag, has been handed over to the relevant prosecuting authority.
