Malaga Tragedy: Four Dead After High-Speed Chase Attempting to Rob a Pharmacy

A botched robbery attempt at a pharmacy in Malaga ended in tragedy, resulting in the deaths of four individuals following a high-speed car crash. The three perpetrators who attempted to break into the pharmacy and a police officer lost their lives in the incident. The event occurred early Thursday morning (05.06.2025) when authorities were alerted to an attempted break-in at a local pharmacy just before 5 AM.

The three men tried to access the business’s safe but were unsuccessful due to a disabled alarm system. Upon arrival, police engaged with the suspects as they fled the scene in a van, sparking a chase. Around 5:30 AM, the van carrying the robbers collided with a police vehicle driven by an off-duty officer who happened to be passing by.

Local Police and Fire Services intervened in the traffic accident on the A-7 highway involving two vehicles, resulting in the deaths of four people, according to reports from the Malaga Security Department. The unfortunate police officer, aged 48, succumbed to his injuries shortly after being extracted by rescuers. The three robbers, all of Albanian origin and members of a known criminal gang, also perished in the crash.
