A major operation by the Greek Police is currently underway, as of Monday morning (June 23), aimed at dismantling a network involved in antiquities trafficking. According to reports, the Patras Security Department is leading the investigation in collaboration with other agencies. They have reportedly uncovered a network that has been illegally trading Greece’s cultural heritage for many years. So far, police have arrested 30 individuals, with the number expected to rise in the coming hours. Some of those arrested reportedly have prior involvement in similar offenses.
