Magnitude 4.7 Earthquake Hits Elis, Felt Across the Peloponnese

The residents of Elis were startled by the earthquake that occurred on Sunday morning (09.03.2025). The quake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located 6 kilometers north of New Figaleia in Elis, and the focal depth was estimated at 20 km. The seismic tremor was felt in several areas of the Peloponnese, including Kalamata, Kyparissia, Tripoli, Sparta, Patras, and Corinth. However, as of now, no damages have been reported.
