A strong earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale shook the region around Malatya, Turkey, on Sunday morning (09.03.2025). According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the epicenter was located 32 km from Malatya in the Sincik area. The hypocentral depth of the quake was identified at 12 km. Reports from nearby areas in Turkey indicate that the tremor was felt in many regions, particularly around the epicenter. As of now, no damages have been reported.
