A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Crete just 15 minutes after midnight. According to the National Observatory of Athens, the epicenter was located in the sea west of Chania and south of Antikythera. Specifically, the quake originated from a seismic zone 63 kilometers southwest of Antikythera, as announced by the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens. The focal depth of the seismic event was recorded at 68.6 kilometers below the surface.
