Magnitude 3.0 Earthquake Strikes Near Kassandra, Chalkidiki

A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale was recorded at 8:15 PM on Sunday (June 22, 2025), near the region of Kassandra in Chalkidiki. According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the epicenter was located 14 kilometers west-southwest of Kassandra. The quake originated from a focal point at a depth of 14.5 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface. No immediate reports of damage or injuries have been reported.
