“It was like having a splinter in my eye. There was no quality of life back then,” said Magda Tsegou. Invited to the set of the show “All for Our Life” today, journalist and presenter Magda Tsegou spoke with Michalis Kefalogiannis about the serious health issue she faced due to trigeminal neuralgia from 2016 to 2019. “It happened in 2016 when I had trigeminal neuralgia. If I had it now, I wouldn’t be here, and I wouldn’t be smiling. I was treated in 2019! It was an excruciating and painful condition that lasted 24 hours a day. To give people an idea, it feels like electric shocks either on the left or right side of your face. In my case, it reached up to 180 episodes per day. It felt as though someone was putting a splinter in my eye. I would wake up in pain, couldn’t brush my teeth, wash my face, apply makeup, smile, or even let my partner kiss me on the lips. Back then, there was no quality of life. I was hosting a morning show with Giorgos Autias, experiencing these attacks without knowing what to do. I clenched my teeth, tears streamed down my eyes, and I almost fainted on set,” Magda Tsegou explained.
