Lionel Messi: “Flik’s Barcelona is spectacular – My children are Catalan”

He spoke in a Catalan medium, on the occasion of her upcoming 125 year anniversary and referred to Hansi Flick’s team, how much he misses Barcelona, but also to his future plans. On 29 November Barcelona celebrates 125 years since its founding. A few days ago, Lionel Messi made statements on the Catalan show “TV3” and spoke about “bluegrana”, his love for the team and also in Barcelona. “Flik’s Barcha is spectacular,” the Spanish newspaper “Sport” is titled, hosting some of the statements made by Lionel Messi, with Argentinian emphasising: “My children are Catalans, we miss life in Barcelona and in our minds there is always the idea to go back to live there tomorrow.” At the same time, “pulga” praised the German coach’s trust in new football players. It is still unknown if Lionel Messi will give the “present” to the special event to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Catalan club. If it fails, due to planned obligations, it is expected to be “a participant” with video recording or a remote connection. “It fills me with pride to see how the first group is now represented. This barcha is spectacular, and that doesn’t surprise me, it’s been happening all my life since I got to barcha at the age of 13. It is spectacular that children have the opportunity in the last two years and when given confidence, they respond in this way because they know the club better than anyone else and they have used to playing since they were young. These things happen, as they did in our day. In our minds, one day we will return to live in Barcelona. We miss Barcelona, both me and my children and my wife. We have friends there and we’ve left several things there. My children are Catalans. I’ve lived my whole life in Barcelona and I miss her so much. You never know where life will lead you, but our intention is to live in Barcelona because it is our home,” Lionel Messi said on a Catalan TV3 show.
