‘My child gave meaning to my life, I always wanted to become a mother,’ said Lena Alkaiou. Appearing on the show “Studio 4” on Tuesday (18.03.2025), the renowned singer spoke about the loss of her parents and the birth of her child. ‘These are overwhelming shocks of joy and sorrow. I lost my brother at the age of 33. At one point, I found out I was pregnant, and after six months, my father passed away. When my daughter was five months old, my mother also left this world. Within a year, I experienced these two shocking events — giving birth and losing both of my parents,’ Lena Alkaiou explained. She continued: ‘The only thing that gives you strength to move forward is the child. Our parents are our lifeline. It was very tough raising my daughter alone. Thankfully, I had a friend who helped me a lot. My child gave meaning to my life; I always wanted to be a mother. I wanted to give my love. When all this happened, many people left my side. Friends appear in times of happiness and sorrow.’
