Lavrio: Six Arrests for Money Mission Robbery · Global Voices

In six arrests Thursday (28/11/2024) police authorities advanced on the case of the robbery in September. In fact, one of the arrested is reportedly the driver of the money sent to Lavrio, while a father and his son have been arrested. One of the defendants has also previously employed the authorities. According to what has become known the six people have been taken to the Anti-Property Crimes Department of the Organized Crime Management as they are involved in the robbery of the money mission made last September in Lavrio. The money shipment robbery on September 26th at noon in Lavrio with a prize of one million euros! Four men with the features of their faces covered and under the threat of arms, managed to extract 1 million euros from the employees of the private money-laundering company in an unprecedented robbery outside a toy store in Lavrio. The perpetrators waited for the money senders to get out of a toy store with the receipts and then act. Then they caught the car, threw paint on the windshield, with one of the perpetrators bursting the tires with a sharp object, while another holding a kalashnikov threatened the driver to open the vehicle door. Through the car they took 15 bags full of money, with the amount estimated at around 1m euros.
