Larissa: Two Abused Children Moved to Foster Care – Stepfather Testifies

The two abused siblings, aged 5 and 6, are expected to be transferred to a foster care facility in Larissa after being temporarily housed at the local hospital. Meanwhile, today (May 23, 2025), the 50-year-old stepfather appeared for questioning, as the children identified him as the perpetrator of their injuries during interviews with child psychiatrists. According to neighbors, the family, including the 32-year-old mother, her partner, and the two children, lived together in a single room. A former partner of the mother, residing in Cyprus, also came forward, alleging that another child they had together was neglected and eventually taken into state custody due to malnutrition. Despite assistance from locals due to the family’s poor financial situation, no one realized the extent of the abuse occurring behind closed doors. At their daycare, other parents noticed neglect but did not suspect severe abuse. The 32-year-old mother remains in custody and is set to be transferred to Korydallos prison today.
