In serious condition at Larissa General Hospital, a priest is being treated after falling from the roof of a chapel in the village of Vryotopos, near Larissa. The accident occurred on Tuesday morning, June 16, 2026, while he was carrying out maintenance work on the roof of the Chapel of Saint Paraskevi.
He was rushed to hospital immediately after the fall. Medical staff confirmed he sustained fractures to his cervical spine (neck), thoracic region (chest), and limbs. He is currently admitted to the surgical ward, where doctors are closely monitoring his recovery.
