Family and friends will say their final goodbyes to the 52-year-old woman who became the victim of a brutal murder at the hands of her own son inside their home in Larissa. The funeral of 52-year-old Louiza Rini, who was stabbed to death by her son, who then attempted to dispose of the body with the help of his brother, is taking place at 12:00 noon on Wednesday (May 14) at the Holy Temple of Lazarus’ Resurrection at the New Cemetery of Larissa. The coffin carrying the remains of the victim arrived at the church shortly after 11:30. “Whatever you know, I know too. I will bid farewell to my daughter today, and if I can, I will go see my grandson and ask him, ‘Why did you do this?’” said the heartbroken grandfather. The frequent arguments between the perpetrator and his mother were reportedly over financial issues. “He just couldn’t hold down a job; he would come and go,” explained the tragic father. “He’s a child from a broken home—what did we expect? No interest from his father, how much could the mother endure?”
