The loan shark victim, a 31-year-old man who runs a business in Larisa, couldn’t stand the threats and blackmail anymore and went to New York last week. Larissa to denounce his Calvary. As he told police officers from 2020 he was caught up in the nets of the 47-year-old today loan shark. Then, due to financial problems he was facing in his business, Larissa, he borrowed 5,000 euros from that man. The two agreed orally to give a monthly interest rate of 20% of the amount borrowed. That’s 1,000 euros a month until he returns the money. The victim paid the rate agreed, however by Spring 2021 he borrowed more money from the man in question, initially 15,000 euros and then 30,000 euros in new loan relief terms. When the 31-year-old could not lift the weight of the loan claims, threats began against him while the alleged perpetrator had him buy two luxury cars for himself. Also, according to the complaint, he forced him to secure his wife in their business, without her working there, paying insurance contributions of about 5,000 euros! But instead of going down, the amount went up to reach 80,000 euros according to the loan shark. As the victim reported to the police, the perpetrator required that he also lease cars with lising in his name to be used by the alleged perpetrator. Finally, the 47-year-old took from the victim a total of 231,000 euros in cash and the amount of 72,333 euros from service provision through leases etc. The arrest On the morning of 24 August 2024 the victim contacted the alleged perpetrator and agreed to a coffee meeting, to pay him the sum of €1,000 as part of the interest he managed to raise. The amount of money was marked by the police and as soon as the alleged perpetrator received it, the police handcuffed him. In a search that followed in his car, another 17,000 euros were found while in his home in Larissa, 122 cartridges and a cleavage were found. At the expense of the 47-year-old, a case-file was formed and will be taken before the Attorney of Primary Larissa.
