Lamia: Young Man in Amok Attacks Cars and Overturns Trash Bins on the Road

An incident occurred on Monday afternoon (April 7, 2025), in Lamia, when a young man, reportedly in an amok state, emerged onto the road and began damaging parked cars and overturning trash bins. According to lamiareport, residents on Pythia Street, in the Pangrati neighborhood of Lamia, heard noises and went outside to find the young man in a frenzied state shouting, cursing, hitting parked cars, and throwing down garbage bins. Initially, they thought it was a road rage incident, but soon realized the severity of the situation as the young man wielded a stick, yelling and threatening passing drivers. He attempted to attack a delivery driver who managed to evade him. Later, he removed his shirt and punched the hood of a passing vehicle. The driver got out and pushed him back, while the young man shattered the mirror of a parked truck with a metal rod. Police arrived shortly afterward and arrested him. Eyewitnesses reported that the young man appeared to be under the influence of substances. All these events took place in front of small children and their mothers who happened to be passing by at the time.
