Lamia: Murderer of the Entrepreneur Arrested – Confessed to the Crime

The perpetrator of the murder of the 59-year-old entrepreneur in Lamia has been arrested by police, according to lamiareport.gr. The man was taken into custody and reportedly confessed to the crime. Authorities were alerted at 00:24 on June 23rd by neighbors on Othonos Street in Lamia, who informed them about an incident at the victim’s café. Officers from the Rapid Action Unit arrived immediately and discovered the 59-year-old deceased inside the café. The scene indicated a brutal killing, with the victim having suffered severe blows to the head with a wrench and multiple stab wounds to the neck, abdomen, and chest with a knife. The lifeless body was found behind the counter, with a knife located nearby that was seized as evidence. According to police findings, the attack occurred near the entrance of the shop, possibly involving a struggle between the victim and the attackers. Witnesses described the victim as a kind and humble person, beloved by his community. He leaves behind a wife and three children. The tragic event took place late at night on a busy street during a quieter summer period due to residents heading to the coast.
