Set to release this Friday, March 7, 2025, Lady Gaga’s new album titled ‘Mayhem’ features a song inspired by her unconventional marriage proposal. The 38-year-old has been in a relationship with entrepreneur Michael Polansky since 2019, and the couple got engaged in April 2024. Lady Gaga revealed that the romantic track ‘Blade Of Grass’ was inspired by how Polansky proposed. In an interview, she explained that the idea stemmed from her own suggestion: “One day he asked me how I would like him to propose, and I replied, ‘Just take a blade of grass and wrap it around my finger.’” During the creation of the song, Gaga reminisced about the moment, recalling the expression on her fiancé’s face and the grass in their yard. Polansky followed her request to the letter, proposing on April Fool’s Day using a blade of grass. Initially, Gaga thought it was a joke due to the date but later received an impressive eight-carat oval diamond ring, which she has showcased multiple times since.
