In his weekly government update on Facebook, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis highlighted two groundbreaking initiatives: the ability for citizens to evaluate public services and the National Strategy to prevent youth violence. According to Mitsotakis, this is a first-time process in Greece that runs parallel to internal evaluation procedures established since 2023. The aim is not punishment but improvement of public services. ‘The Greek public sector must serve the citizens and not itself,’ he emphasized. Regarding the National Strategy against youth violence, Mitsotakis pointed out the integration of modern concepts like the Stop Bullying platform, Safe Youth, and the innovative Greek digital application Kids Wallet, recognized internationally as a good practice for addressing online addiction among minors. Additionally, he wished happy Mother’s Day to all mothers. The new strategy focuses on enhancing protection measures and integrating tools for preventing youth violence, ensuring child-friendly justice systems.
