A new tragic detail about the case of Kyriaki Griva has come to light through LiveNews. According to reports, three years before her murder in Agioi Anargyroi in 2020, Kyriaki had filed a complaint against her partner, accusing him of raping and assaulting her while she was two months pregnant with their child.

The couple had visited Kyriaki’s mother earlier that day, and her boyfriend insisted she drink alcohol. Later at home, after consuming tsipouro, he persistently pressured her for sexual contact.

“He asked me to have sex. I told him I didn’t want to, especially for the baby’s health. He tried to turn my body with his hands… He grabbed me by the throat and pushed me against the wall. I was screaming,” Kyriaki described during the report.

Following the incident, Kyriaki went to the police station the next day to file a complaint. Despite what happened, she stated clearly that she did not want legal action taken against the perpetrator or a forensic medical examination. She only requested that he receive treatment and stop drinking alcohol.

Notably, she said, ‘I love him, and I don’t want him punished.’ Ironically, it was the perpetrator who later filed a complaint against Kyriaki.
