Kozani: Escaped Prisoner from Korydallos Captured After Years on the Run

A 49-year-old fugitive who escaped from the Psychiatric Ward of Korydallos Prisons in June 2020 was captured today in Kozani. The man, sentenced to life imprisonment for premeditated murder, had been on the run since his escape. Acting on information, officers from the Kozani Security Department located and arrested him within the city. In addition to his life sentence, he also faced a court decision from Heraklion sentencing him to five years and one month in prison for fraud and forgery. The fugitive has now been handed over to the Prosecutor of Financial Crimes in Kozani.
