Kozani: Elderly Women Brawl in Town Square, Hospitalized

An extraordinary incident occurred in Kozani on February 3, 2026, when two women aged approximately 76–80 engaged in a heated verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation on Lassani Square. Shocked passersby and shop owners rushed to separate them. A DIAS rapid response unit and police patrol arrived immediately, followed by EKAB ambulances after both women reported dizziness and distress from the blows and tension. Both were transported to Mamatsios General Hospital in Kozani. Subsequently, each expressed intent to file criminal complaints against the other.
