Kostis Savvidakis confesses to the loss of his mother

‘ She was doing chemo and we were living all this struggle,” says Kostis Savvidakis, in an interview with On Time and Sissy Menegatos. Your mother’s death was your first big loss? Yeah, she left at the age of 40 from cancer, and there it’s like losing the foundation from home. You are now in a house that is ready. At least for us boys mother is our weakness and for girls father. Because my father and I didn’t feel it as much as my mother did. When my mother did the first test, the doctors gave her six months to live. From her love to raise her children, she managed to live twelve years. She was doing chemo and we were living this whole fight. I was twenty-two years old when she left, but I experienced all her pain and anguish, because I lived with her. And when you see the man you love can’t even get out of bed in the last few months, you get to a point where you say: “Jesus, take her to rest. Don’t suffer anymore.”
