Kostas Sakkas Arrested in Exarchia: Driving a Motorcycle Without License or Helmet

Kostas Sakkas, who was involved in the case of the Fire Nuclei Conspiracy, was arrested in Exarchia. According to reports, Sakkas, who had been granted leave from Korydallos Prison where he is being held after being sentenced for attempted robbery in Thessaloniki, was found riding a motorcycle without a license or helmet, leading to his arrest on the spot. The police checked his details and confirmed his identity. It is worth noting that in 2020, Sakkas was sentenced alongside Giannis Dimitrakis for robbing the AHEPA Hospital in Thessaloniki during the summer of 2019. His first arrest occurred in December 2010 when he was caught leaving a warehouse armed, which later linked him to the ‘Fire Nuclei Conspiracy.’ At one point, he even went on a hunger strike against the extension of his pre-trial detention.
