George, the Members of Pieria Grace Τζαμακλής, Constantine Κουκοδήμος and Betty ΣκοÏφα, the vice governor of Pieria, Sofia Mavridou, Mayor of Katerini, Savvas Χιονίδης, a representative of the Member’s Asterios ΚαστόÏη, the Supervisor of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Himachal pradesh, Elena Papastavrou, the Commander of the Hospital of Katerini Anestis ΜυστÏίδης, the commissioned councillors of the Municipality Katerinis for the refugee Nikos Παπαζιώγας and Nikos Κατανάς, visited the church Archimandrite e. Barnabas Λεοντιάδης, the Scientific Partner of E.E. Councilman Nick Παπαζιώγας conveyed the decision that emerged as a result of a recent meeting of municipal, military and police authorities, with senior executives of the Ministry of Migration Policy.
According to her, the refugees will not be installed in the main building of the Monastery and within a period of 30 days will be transferred to another landscaped area in the region of Kilkis.
As a result, and in the spirit of καταλλαγής and unity, it was decided that the de-escalation of the reactions that have arisen to implement the evacuation plans of the refugee camp at the Monastery of Stone.
All the Members pointed out that we must have a rational management of the crowd of refugees caged in our country, and together, State, Local Government and the Church, initiating and ομόψυχοι, to cooperate so that the result is the best possible.
