Hours after being sworn in as the new U.S. Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle updated her social media profiles, signaling she is ready to begin her duties. The delay in her swearing-in ceremony allowed her time for thorough preparation. On Monday (September 29, 2025), Guilfoyle officially became the first woman to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Greece. During the ceremony at the State Department, she emphasized her mission to advance American interests and strengthen bilateral cooperation with Greece, a key NATO ally. Diplomatic sources confirm she will arrive in Athens by late October to formally assume her responsibilities. In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “Today, under President Donald Trump’s leadership, I was sworn in as the first woman to serve as U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic.
