Kim Jong Un Inspects North Korea’s Latest Nuclear-Capable Submarine

Kim Jong Un, dressed in a black suit and tie, was seen smiling during his visit to North Korea’s latest submarine capable of carrying ten nuclear missiles that could potentially target the USA. The nuclear-powered weapons system admired by Kim on March 8, 2025, is currently under construction and poses a significant threat to South Korea and the United States. State media released images of the ‘strategic ballistic missile submarine with nuclear power,’ highlighting the leader’s visits to large shipyards constructing warships. According to Moon Keun-sik, a submarine expert at Seoul’s Hanyang University, the submarine appears to be in the 6,000-7,000-ton class and can carry approximately ten missiles. The use of the term ‘strategic ballistic missiles’ indicates it will transport nuclear-capable weapons. Moon added, ‘It would be absolutely threatening to us and the U.S.’
