In a recent statement, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei claimed that Israel’s reliance on American intervention in the Middle East highlights its ‘weakness and incapacity.’ He emphasized that the mere fact of U.S. involvement to support the ‘Zionist regime’ underscores Israel’s inability to stand alone. Khamenei encouraged Iranians to continue their strong stance against perceived enemies without showing fear.
On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the cost of war for Israel, acknowledging the human toll it has taken on families and citizens. While expressing empathy for those affected, he also hinted at potential actions against Khamenei, stating that ‘all options are open,’ though he preferred not to elaborate publicly. Regarding U.S. involvement in any future operations against Iran, Netanyahu deferred to President Trump, saying it depends on his decisions.
Netanyahu further linked historical contexts by referencing Cyrus the Great freeing the Jewish people over 2,500 years ago, suggesting now it’s time for the Jewish people to help liberate the Persian people from the ayatollah regime.
