An era comes to an end! Kevin De Bruyne has announced that he will be leaving Manchester City at the end of the season, after a decade filled with titles as one of the ‘Citizens’ key players. At the age of 33, De Bruyne departs having won the Premier League six times, two FA Cups, five EFL Cups, and the UEFA Champions League, playing a pivotal role in the club’s historic treble-winning season in 2021. The Belgian joined City in the summer of 2015 from Wolfsburg for €76 million. Over his tenure, he made 413 appearances, scoring 106 goals and providing 174 assists (70 goals and 118 assists in the league alone). In a heartfelt message, De Bruyne expressed his gratitude to the city, the team, and the fans, calling Manchester his forever home.
