Katerina Sakellaropoulou at the event of “DIANEOsis” for the 50 years of Metapolitization

The opening of the event “DIANEOSIS”, on the occasion of the completion of 50 years was declared by the President of the Republic, . In the speech addressed by the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou at the event of “DIANEOSIS” for the half-century Metapolitization, she stressed, among other things, that “the challenges for Democracy are many and complex and require vigilance and defence of its fundamental values, freedom, equality and solidarity.” Specifically, Katerina Sakellaropoulou stressed that “The Metapolitization is the smoothest, peaceful and progressive period of our modern history. As a concept it summarizes not only the historical transition from dictatorship to democracy, but also the consolidation, political, moral and cultural, of the latter in the consciousness of all of us, as an invaluable commodity for our social coexistence and our political self-determination. Its institutions, democratic and liberal, showed these fifty years of remarkable consistency and endurance and proved the depth of our democracy.
