Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton went on a school bus along with the company of five-year-olds, as he visited with them an exhibition in central London. CORVERSE Instead of official entrance by royal car, the princess descended from the small bus holding the hand of a little girl, during their school trip to the National Portrait Gallery of London. The children were visiting a trail around the gallery that encouraged them to think about their feelings, which is linked to Catherine’s early education program, Shaping Us. CORVERSE “My name is Kate and I will come with you today,” the princess told the children as she was boarding the small bus. “Have you all worn your seatbelts?” he said. “It was an experience we will probably never experience again,” said principal Alix Ascough of the All Souls elementary school in Westminster. “She was wonderful, so relaxed with children, very talkative. The children were so involved with her and playing I-spy with her,” said the director. Middleton, who held the hand of a girl named Grace during the visit, helped children paint their own portraits in a gallery filled with photographs of famous faces. The Shaping Us initiative highlights the importance of the first five years in the lives of children – the last stage of the program emphasizes the teaching of social skills and the improvement of mental health. Visiting the gallery is another part of Kate Middleton’s gradual return to her official duties after completing her cancer treatment.
