In a recent interview with Panagiotis Simos’ YouTube channel and online broadcast ‘Daily Kous Kous’, renowned singer Kate Garbi opened up about her life and career. Speaking about her professional past, she revealed the moment that made her realize she had succeeded as an artist. This defining moment took place in 1997 during her sold-out performance in the USA. “It was sold out and it truly brought tears to my eyes,” she recalls, continuing her successful career path. Addressing her younger self, Garbi mentioned, “I wouldn’t say much to the younger me. I would tell her ‘You could have done better.’ I say this because I know her sensitivities, her innocence, and how easily she trusts others.” She also expressed her desire to revisit her live performance at Radio City in New York in 1997, emphasizing its significance. When asked which live performance she’d wish to experience again as an audience member, she replied, “Classically documented, we always come back to Radio City.” Reflecting on her success, she reiterated, “For the third time, I’ll mention Radio City—it was sold out! I don’t know if I can relive that moment again. I realized I did well, not with the arrogance of a winner, but understanding that things are going well when these people here accept you; you must have done something good.”
